About XRMX
XRMX was founded on 29 April 1994 with a simple aim: make useful tools and share them with as many people as possible. XRMX products have been free to download online since 1998.
The products have changed over the years, from Windows utilities and an assembly-language simulator used by students, to open-source radio tools and mobile apps today, but the motto hasn’t: using the tools.
The name
XRMX is the founder’s name, Greg, written in Nordic runes. In the Elder Futhark the rune Gebo (G) looks like an X, Raido is R, and Ehwaz (E) looks like an M, so the runes that spell GREG read as XRMX to English eyes.
